2020-2022
This project stems from a journey of inner reflection. Throughout this process, I often turn to meditative exercises that help create the ideal environment for self-observation. From this introspection, I question and seek to understand the different emotions and thoughts that arise in my mind, which later result in the creation of colorful narratives, composed of blotches and lines on two-dimensional surfaces. In the stories I tell, I mix various materials: acrylic paints, markers, graffiti, cardboard, colored pencils, among others.
These materials and tools are crucial in the creative process, as they allow me to transfer a piece of my inner universe to the outside world. With them, I create magical and imaginary realities, often portraying memories of a joyful childhood. Ultimately, this “turning inward” comes from a deep desire to embrace my imagination and my inner child. It allows me to be free from judgment and to welcome everything that emerges in this profound act of creation.

With the onset of lockdown and after deep introspection, I was confronted with the question:
“How does the body relate to the space it inhabits?”
I found this aspect particularly interesting to explore because a pandemic forced the world to stop and remain safe within their homes. I have always been deeply connected to my home, but I had never paused to reflect on how each space within it made me feel.
